Cindy Rails There was once and still is an amazing girl, Cindy Rails... Cindy’s parents had abandoned her as a child and she was forced to live with her foster parents. She was a beautiful girl but due to her appearance, shabby clothes and the lingo she had picked up through living with the other, less friendly kids in the system she was never even considered when it came time for adoption. Then last Thursday afternoon something crazy happened! Cindy, this good friend of mine was late home after school... she’d been given a Dean’s detention for “smoking at school” which she’d been framed for by some other students at school. Because of this she was late home and in a blind range, her foster parents both yelled at and hit her. Scared and confused Cindy ran to the local park where she normally hangs out with her mates. Sitting on the bench crying, Jake, one of her BFFLs comes over to comfort her and after hearing her out offers the couch at his house for the night. Cindy at first refuses because she is embarrassed at this weakness but he simply leads her to the subway to take the train back to his place. As they wait for the 5pm train with people bustling and rushing to get in line, Jake is pushed off balance and falls onto the tracks, hitting his head on one of the rails... the train horn sounds. Cindy notices almost too late, she jumps onto the tracks and in a desperate attempt to save her mate she throws him into the service bay but there wasn’t enough time to save herself. She lies between the rails and oddly calm tries to melt into the rails. While the train is going past Jake wakes up and realises what has happened. The train passes and he goes to Cindy’s side. She is still alive, just very shaken up. The people on the platform cheer and help them both up and the police are called and give them both a lift back to Jake’s house. At first Jake’s parents are angry to see the two turning up in a police car as they believe Cindy is a bad influence but after the story has been explained and some video footage from a bystander’s I-phone is shown Jake’s parents embrace Cindy. Jake’s parents then chose to adopt her from her foster parents and she is still enjoying her life with her new parents. James Gardner
Our Fairy Story: Sahib and the David Sometime in the 21st century at the Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. There was a boy named David who was the smartest kid at the school. He studied for all his exams and got the best grades in class. But recently he was getting over confident and deciding not to study for any more of his exams. Then there was a kid who doesn’t get any good grades. His name is Sahib. He didn’t study and never listened in class. In the next few days coming up, there was a test for mathematics. Davids best subject was maths so he decided not to study for this test, as he thought he could get a 7 without trying. Sahib did not like mathematics and did not get good grades in it normally, so he thought that he would study for it, just to see how it went. The day of the test came. Since sahib studies for it, he could be able to do everything in it, end ended up with a 7, David thought he would be able to do everything in the test, but since he did not study, he found that he couldn’t do anything, and ended up with a 1. Sahib ended up with a better mark than David, so he laughed at him for the rest of his life. The end
